Civilized Humanity: Several Steps Forward!
America and Israel in isolation!
The UN Secretary General, under the pressure of hundreds of millions protesting against the brutality of Israel and its Western backers on the people of Palestine, has himself called the meeting of Security Council with the aim of ending the massacre in the Gaza Strip. On Friday, December 8, 2023, a meeting of the Security Council was held in which the US vetoed a resolution on a "humanitarian halt”, while the British Government, America's permanent ally, had to abstain due to the strong pressure of the pro-Palestinian people’s movement in Britain.
Biden's support for the continuation of the bloodshed carried out by the fascist government of Israel in Palestine is an expression of the failure and defeat of the American militarism, and the impasse and strategic defeat of the “victory” of the Israeli state in this conflict despite the massacre of tens of thousands and the levelling of Gaza. The opposition of the US government to the ceasefire and any cessation of this crime is an attempt to "buy time" for a bunch of fascist criminals in Tel Aviv to get out of this impasse, and an attempt to save their face and to portray them as the "victors" in this bloodshed!
The justifications offered by the US representative in the Security Council for vetoing the short "cessation" in the killings and the annihilation of the Palestinian masses has been immediately and rightly translated to nothing but the insistence of the states of US and Israel to continue the genocide against the Palestinian masses by billions of people from New York, Washington, London, Paris and Berlin to Cairo, Baghdad, Beirut and Aden, and from Tokyo and Sydney to Istanbul and Athens.... . Last Saturday, the world was shaken once again by the protests of human-loving masses in defence of the Palestinian masses and against the Israeli rampant mass murder machine and its supporters in the West.
In Europe, under the pressure of the mass protest movements, along with crisis and cracks showing in governing bodies, parties, parliaments and out of fear of the pro-Palestinian protest movement turning into a protest movement against their own governments and internal socio-political crises, the European defenders of the genocide carried out by the fascist government of Israel in the Gaza Strip, one after another, are forced to distance themselves ostensibly and formally from these crimes and their direct perpetrators.

This distancing is due to the pressure of mass protests in defence of Palestinians, crisis and division in the European ruling bodies, parties, parliaments, … as well their fear of these protests becoming a movement against their “own” states and internal socio-political crisis. The very same European states that moan about the "disproportionate" reaction of the Israeli state and are softening their comprehensive and unconditional defence of the genocide waged by Israel, while regularly dispatching arms and equipment to Israel! The same official and right-wing Western media that have been defeated in their censorship of the images of the torn bodies of women, men and children under the rubble of schools, hospitals and "UN shelters", and in the brainwashing of the citizens in the West, are now very slightly tilting their camera lenses with broadcasts of the crimes in Gaza and the crimes committed by the Israeli state.
The opposition of the Biden government to a temporary restriction of the Israeli state's crimes against the Palestinian masses, under the pretext of flighting Hamas, has not only further marginalised and isolated the US and Biden among even their permanent allies and the "international community", but it has also weakened the position of the US in the Middle East as well as the United Nations and the Security Council. This decline and isolation was immediately observable. The re-calling of the UN meeting for a resolution on “ceasefire", attempts to make such a resolution binding, and the various calls by the Western states for reforming the structure of the Security Council as well as restriction of the applications of veto rights, … regardless of whether they were or were not implemented, all point to the weaker position of the US in institutions whose mission to date has been to give legal legitimacy and international character to the America's hegemony and dominance.
The decline, defeat and collapse of the Israeli fascism, will bring with it the eventual collapse and demise of the USA as the foremost global power. This retreat and defeat is not the result of the grumbling of the Arab governments or the threats made by Erdogan, Khamenei, etc nor the "danger” posed by China and Russia and their diplomatic tricks to weaken their competing adversary.
The defeat and isolation of the Israeli fascism and the rejection of the legitimacy of the “international community” and “free-world” have been brought about by the mighty global humane and freedom-seeking masses in defence of people of Palestine, demanding an end to the genocide, an end to the support of Western governments for Israel, and for recognition of the independent state of Palestine. This is an isolation is the outcome of the protests of the working class that took industrial action against the crimes of the Israeli state. Had this movement been absent, the supporters of Israeli fascism in the West, would have, shamelessly and without any hesitation, continued to defend the crimes, ethnic cleansing, and complete genocide of the Palestinian people. The isolation of the US is the consequence of the growth of this international movement in defence of people of Palestine for a free and humane life.
This movement is the only force that can put an end to this brutality and barbarism. This is the movement that has to date been able to put an end to the diplomatic and calculative manoeuvrings, reject international “agreements and treaties", throw the "world order" to disarray, and make the freedom of people Palestine possible.
This movement can paralyze the entire Israeli killing machine, completely boycott the ruling racist state, and it can make a formidable barricade against the support of the bourgeois states and arms manufacturers, and block shipping of weapons of mass murder to Israel. During this period, the working class from Greece, Turkey and Italy to Spain, US and Britain,... has taken steps in this direction. Closing the ports and docks, refraining from loading weapons and military equipment to Israel, and organising protests action at the arms manufacturing plants, are all only some aspects of the standing up of the working class in defence of the Palestinian people. The all-rounded continuation and escalation of these protests of the working class across the globe will force not only the racist and fascist state in Israel, but also the US and all pro-Israel states to retreat.
The defeat and isolation of Israel, and the impasse the US and Western militarism, by the working class and the civilized, peace-seeking humanity, are only the beginning of major international struggles against savagery, poverty and lack of rights across the whole world. Ending this mass killing and humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip is the beginning of a global movement seeking justice for the tens of thousands killed, and hundreds of thousands wounded in Gaza. A movement against the perpetrators of these crimes, from Netanyahu, Galant and Ben-Gavir to their backers from Biden, Macron, Sunak, Schulz and others; a movement that demands the prosecution of each and every one of them for their crimes against humanity.
The victory of the humanity-loving masses in ending the cycle of bloodbath and crime will link the solution of the Palestine question with the struggle against the prevailing militarism in the world, to the struggle for freedom, justice, and a secure life away from wars.
Today, the struggle for freedom, security, and a humane life for the people of Palestine is a window for the humanity to enter the wider and global struggles for the freedom and security of people; and for fundamental changes in the relation of the people with the ruling powers across the world and in the West in particular. Such a change needs the working class to play its prominent international role in leading this movement.
