Long Live International Unity and Solidarity of the Working Class!

May Day, the international workers’ day is upon us. The day that workers, across the globe, express their class solidarity against the capitalist system and its blind pursuit of more profit; a day of celebration of unity in struggle for a world rid of all discriminations and divisions based on race, gender, birth-place, nationality, and all the other divisions that have been enforced upon humanity.

Today in the 21st Century, despite all the wealth, still vast populations are struggling with the miseries of poverty, hunger, war and destitution. This situation is presently exasperated with the Covid-19 pandemic, which has so clearly shown the lack of concern for human lives by the ruling classes worldwide. It is shameful when we are told that today’s technology has made it possible to produce oxygen in Mars, and yet, so many people are losing their lives because of the lack of it in hospitals and clinics here on Earth!

Today we are witnessing protests against the current state of affairs in so many countries from Brazil and Chile to Lebanon, from France to Iraq, and Turkey to Thailand. In Iran too, despite the Islamic Republic’s total dismissal of providing even the most basic health measures in the face of this pandemic, there has been a growing range of protests against the entire state across the country. Protests that have forced the ruling authorities to openly admit their fear from major changes in the country.

Workers! Comrades!

This May Day is another occasion to express our class unity against this corrupt system and proclaim that enough is enough. On this international day we once again stand in solidarity as one global class and celebrate our common goal in struggle to rid ourselves from the chains of capital. We celebrate our rejection of all divisions and stand united in our call for creation of a better world.

This is our day. A day for our class - together we have a world to win.
