In support of the Iranian women’s fight for freedom and equality
The mass uprising of the freedom-seeking people of Iran, the uprising for “Woman, Life, Freedom” has entered its third month. Three months of protest and strike, that has faced the government’s brutal suppression and has had four hundred casualties and thousands of injured protesters.
Systematic and state violence against women in Iran and the gender-apartheid have been an ongoing phenomenon in Iran in the past forty years. Women were one of the first groups who stood against the Islamic Republic’s violation of people’s freedom. More than forty years of resistance and protest, forty years of defiance of the Islamic laws and women’s total disenfranchisement, turned into a vast uprising for freedom, women, and for equality after Mahsa Amini’s murder.
Today this movement will not settle for anything less than women’s full freedom in all aspects of life, curbing the governments influence and all its means of suppression - from the Moral Police to the Basiji thugs, from the parliament to the judiciary force - and curbing religion’s hands from the private and social life of women.
Today, the Islamic Regime has desperately resorted to its killing machine to confront the feminist revolution and this revolutionary mass uprising and doesn’t refrain from committing any crime. One can see little children, middle-aged men and women among the victims. The killings in Iran do not consider distinction between genders or ages. An extreme form of brutality and violence that one can expect only from a stone-age, misogynist, inhumane and child-killing state.
We, the freedom seeking people, invite all women’s right organisations, organisations defending the rights of children, workers and all humans, all those who seek freedom and equality, to stand against this systematic violence against women, gender apartheid in Iran, and for supporting the brave men and women, who have risen up for fighting for equality and for “Woman, Life, Freedom”, and we also invite you to condemn this official state violence against women.
This year’s “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” should and would show solidarity with the free women in Iran and their brave fight for freedom and equality.

Say “NO” to the state violence against women in Iran!
